Stuck for content ideas? Let’s fix that

Jan 9, 2025

After three days of deep-diving into technical fixes like broken links (important, but not exactly inspiring), let’s shift gears. Fixing links is all about improving performance – but what about filling those links with content your audience can’t wait to click on?

When it’s time to generate fresh topic ideas, here are three approaches I use to keep things strategic and creative:

1. Brainstorm smarter

  • Mind mapping: Start with a central topic and branch out into subtopics.
  • Reverse brainstorming: Think about what wouldn’t work for your audience and flip it into something actionable.
  • Rapid fire lists: Set a timer for 10 minutes and jot down as many ideas as possible (no judging allowed).

2. Look into your audience

  • Surveys or polls: Ask what they want to learn or what challenges they’re facing.
  • Social listening: See what questions they’re asking in comments or forums.
  • Customer data: Analyze FAQs or support tickets for recurring themes.

3. Stay ahead of trends

  • Follow industry news: See how recent developments could turn into something that impacts your audience.
  • Monitor competitors: What’s your competition not covering that your audience needs?
  • Seasonal opportunities: Plan campaigns tied to industry events or seasonal trends

Creative blocks are just speed bumps, not roadblocks. Want help brainstorming your next big idea? Let’s set up an idea generation session. Reply to this email or click here to book a time – I’d love to help you spark your next big idea.
