Is there a magic number when it comes to blog post word count?
A quick Google search reveals a range from 300 to 3,000+.
But here’s a thought: rather than chasing an ideal word count, focus on how well your content serves your audience.
If a topic is well-covered in 800 words, adding fluff won’t make it more valuable. And if it takes 2,500 words to explore an issue? Don’t shortchange the reader.
It’s not about hitting a number – it’s about meeting the reader where they are, providing value, and solving their problem.
So, next time you’re putting together your content calendar or creating a brief, ask yourself: Am I providing value, or am I just filling space?
