Your content calendar shouldn’t be a prison sentence

Feb 14, 2025

On Fridays, I like to take a step back and offer something to help you end the week on a high note.

We’ve spent all week talking about strategic content and business goals (important stuff!), but here’s what I really want you to take into the weekend:

Consistency doesn’t mean running yourself into the ground.

You don’t need to post every day, be on every platform, or maintain a blog, podcast, AND YouTube channel. What you need is to run your business without losing your mind.

Sure, be consistent – but make sure it’s at a pace you can maintain.

Maybe that’s two really solid blog posts a month. Maybe it’s a weekly newsletter. Maybe it’s three Instagram posts a week. The key is picking a rhythm that works for YOU and your business – not what some guru said you “should” do.

Quick exercise for this weekend: Take 15 minutes with your favorite beverage and ask yourself:

  • What content format do you actually enjoy creating?
  • How much time can you realistically dedicate to content each week?
  • Where does your audience most need to hear from you?

Start there. Build your content calendar around those answers. Keep it simple. Keep it sustainable.

Because here’s the truth: the most effective content strategy is the one you’ll actually stick to.

Have a restful weekend (and a happy Valentine’s day!
