Let’s rethink the content-revenue pipeline for a minute. While a lot of content planning focuses on SEO and keyword planning (and yes, that matters!), I think we’re missing something bigger.
Here’s what I mean: Instead of starting with topics and hoping they’ll lead to revenue, what if we mapped our content to actual customer buying moments? You know, those little decisions and questions that pop up right before someone crosses the line from a reader into a customer.
I’m seeing this play out in interesting ways. Often, your highest-converting content isn’t your carefully crafted “Ultimate Guide” – it’s that simple FAQ post that directly addresses purchase barriers. Because in the end, the content that drives revenue isn’t always the content that wins awards.
